Seeing your baby for the first time is an unforgettable moment. At Multiplied Blessings in Anderson, SC, we want every session to be as clear and joyful as possible. Here are some tips to help you prepare for your 3D, 4D, or HD ultrasound and get the best images of your little one.
Stay Hydrated
Proper hydration is key. Clear and full amniotic fluid improves the quality of your images. Start drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment for the best results.
Wake Your Baby
About 30 minutes before your session, try drinking fruit juice to encourage your baby to move, unless your doctor advises otherwise. A moving baby often results in more dynamic and detailed images.
Understand Session Timing
Depending on your chosen package, your ultrasound session may last between 10 and 25 minutes. Plan to spend 30 minutes to an hour at our studio so we can capture beautiful memories and ensure you leave with keepsakes to treasure.
Baby Position Matters Most
Your baby’s position is the biggest factor in capturing clear images. Sometimes we may ask you to move around or drink juice to encourage your baby to shift, helping us get the best possible view.
Wear Comfortable Clothing
Choose loose, two-piece outfits. This makes it easier to access your belly and keeps you comfortable throughout the session.
Avoid Lotions or Oils
Skip heavy lotions or oils on your belly on the day of your ultrasound. They can sometimes interfere with the ultrasound gel and affect image clarity.
Be Patient and Relaxed
Every baby is different. Sometimes it takes a few moments for your little one to move into the best position. Relax, enjoy the experience, and trust that we will do our best to get wonderful images.
Ask Questions
Don’t hesitate to ask your sonographer about what you’re seeing on the screen. It’s your special moment, and we love helping families understand what they’re viewing!
